I know the IDF converted Centurions to APCs, possibly others, too...

The M113 has 38mm of aluminum armor.  If anyone builds the USMC LAV-L
(logistics), it has 12mm of steel (maybe 25mm if you are shooting thru
the lower front hull where the trim vane is stowed).
