Our compromise between LCRI practice (which you propose as an option)
and AACR2/LAC practice (now in RDA), is 260 $aOrginal Place
;$bOriginal Publisher,$coriginal date$e(Reproduction Place
:$fReproducer,$greproduction date)
The fixed fields are as for a reprint, and the original 020 is there
with the new one (if any) qualified. There is of course the 245$h.
The collation would be, for example, 300 $a1 electronic document (x,
100 p.). The record accurately reflects the situation for our
clients.
The LCRI version implies a book in the 300, and the AACR2 version
often has no collation at all if the resource is remote.
