We continue the AACR2 [18--] as opposed to [date of publication not identified]. We will never use that phrase (AACR2 wisely did not allow [nd]). We know it was not published in 2014, which the patron would not know in 2014; I know of no ILS which displays 005. It is easier for us to use [18--] than [between 1800 and 1899], which would require us to know "between" in various languages, as we had to know "by" before ISBD's "/". __ __ J.
