This happens all the time with the series Collection des universités de France
(Greek or Latin texts with French parallel translations). I usually do this in
this situation: "cxciv, 47, 148 pages". There are actually three sequences
here, and each has an end number. If thought necessary, a note can be included
explaining that the first 47 pages are numbered in duplicate.

Another option would be "cxciv, 148, that is, 195 pages", with a note
explaining that the numbering of pages 1-47 is duplicated. I don't think that
repeating 47 works in this case because the first 47 pages don't form a
separate sequence but are part of the same sequence as pages 48-148.

What about "cxciv, 47, 47 pages, pages 48-148" with a note as per 3.22.2.7?
