This happens all the time with the series Collection des universités de France (Greek or Latin texts with French parallel translations). I usually do this in this situation: "cxciv, 47, 148 pages". There are actually three sequences here, and each has an end number. If thought necessary, a note can be included explaining that the first 47 pages are numbered in duplicate.

I don't think that repeating 47 works in this case because the first 47 pages don't form a separate sequence but are part of the same sequence as pages 48-148.
