Fine if one doesnt don't need to a cross-platform tool I guess. Personally I
simply couldn't abide the thought of having to code for 3 or more totally
different APIs  in one or two languages ( say C++ and ObjectiveC )
Hopefully I will never have to ...

I think this is a very good idea, I personally wouldn't object if 3 out of 4
of the quarterly releases were just fixes

Don't jump ship just yet - I think you will find that RS has been putting a
lot of work in recently to reduce the number of show stoppers. Just what are
those show stoppers in any case ? I assume they've all been reported to RS.
