Please no! I hate databases. If listboxes were always taking their
sources from datasources, I'd certainly rewrite my own listbox
using canvases! Databases are certainly not required to make a
really good and complete application!

Right, but I think the thought here is to, in effect, decouple the
List() from the ListBox as with VisualBasic and XCode. The Rb ListBox
is somewhat constrained by the requirement to both store and display
content. I believe that KemTekinay offers a custom class which
provides this capability in Rb.
