Norman has a very interesting post on his blog about the release dates for the
2007r2 version:
http://66.244.235.131/blog/?p=56
"Alpha 1 - Feb 5, 2007 5:05 PM (MST)
Alpha 2 - Feb 15, 2007 4:43 PM (MST)
Alpha 3 - Feb 26, 2007 4:21 PM (MST)
Alpha 4 - Mar 7, 2007 4:58 PM (MDT)
Beta 1 - Mar 12, 2007 5:39 PM (MDT)
Beta 2 - Mar 15, 2007 5:23 PM (MDT)
Beta 3 - Mar 19, 2007 4:47 PM (MDT)
Beta 4 - Mar 22, 2007 9:53 AM (MDT)
Beta 5 - Mar 24, 2007 5:44 AM (MDT)
Beta 6 - Mar 27, 2007 4:32 PM (MDT)
FC 1 - Mar 28, 2007 6:10 PM (MDT)
FC 2 - Mar 29, 2007 8:08 PM (MDT)
FC 3 - Mar 30, 2007 5:36 PM (MDT)
FC 4 - Apr 1, 2007 7:57 PM (MDT)
RELEASE - Apr 2, 2007 7:35 AM (MDT)"

The time between each Beta and FC says a lot. Also, how could anyone properly
test the FCs?

I don't trust on the quality of the RB releases since the 2006r1 and I stopped
full testing new releases since 2006r4 - too much time wasted between 2006r1 and
2006r4 and I always had to go back to 2005r4.

I downloaded 2007r2 but after reading about some bugs (mainly the isbbobqx that
was discovered on 2007r2FC3!) I decided to not even install it.

It's obvious (after 2 years) that the "Fast Release Model" (or whatever is
called) is not working regarding product quality and needs some adjustments. And
I'm not optimistic that this will change a lot just because they are using the
released version to develop the new one. If a new release has a very nasty bug,
they just do what they've been doing - fix it for the next release and we have
to wait more 3 months.
