I'm currently doing something similar, but to a canvas.
If I place this in the Open event of the Canvas:
Me.AcceptPictureDrop
Me.AcceptFileDrop("Any")
Me.AcceptTextDrop
Dragging a picture from the browser doesn't cause a reaction unless the
picture does not have a hyperlink applied to it. Also, the dropped object
is seen as a FolderItem. It opens properly, at least usually.
If you can really get the hyperlink as text, at least you could download the
picture and open it as a FolderItem.
How are you getting the hyperlink as text?
