I'm not sure what you are doing differently. I just tried the same thing, and I get a messagebox showing up. The text that shows up is just the URL that the picture points to, so it doesn't do me any good anyway. I'm using RB2007r2 on a Mac, remote debugging to Windows. I would think that the drag item should also have its picture property available as well, but its just nil. Have you tried putting a breatpoint in your code and inspecting the dragobject?
