Hhhmmm...I can't tell you how many times I heard this when Apple went  
from OS 9 to OS X.  I've also heard this a few times from Windows  
developers with Vista.

It sounds like you think REAL changes things to screw over their  
users.  The fact is, they change things to make life easier in the  
long run.  They change the IDE because it didn't make sense cross- 
platform wise.  They change the plugin API to make things faster and  
better.  They change the way the program compiles to add new language  
features and to make things faster.

If they don't change and evolve they die.  They can only exist as a  
company as long as money comes in.  Simple economics.

I get your point, but it's not realistic.

The solution is exactly what you are doing.  Put everything in-house  
and write all the code yourself.  Rather than use RB I suggest you  
move to CodeWarrior.  :)
