Pehaps he should have prefixed his remarks with "in general".
He is correct as are you. In general, auto detection of memory above
64Meg has worked correctly. There have been exceptions of certain
mother boards that did not behave as expected or return the expected
values. Your's is one of them. The original poster may have another
and he should try 2.2.13 as well (2.2.5 sucks anyways).
