When you do a "who" or "w" what output are you looking for? Is this to look
for dialup users to your machine? I had a problem where I was not able to
obtain the user via "w" or "who" for a dialed in user but a telnet client
was identifed with no problem using who. My resolution to this problem was
recompiling ppp using the same version or later.
