will you please, fer cryin' out loud, trim that insipid signature??
sheesh.

i have become increasingly frustrated with posters who have taken
to treating their electronic signatures as a forum for espousing
various views, and at length.

i appreciate the value of a .sig for the opportunity to learn
a bit more about the poster, such as their company, their
technical background, possible certification, and so on.
but this is getting absurd.

first, that sig is waaaaaaay too long. and more to the point,
it's completely nonsensical for this forum. "The information
contained in this e-mail is confidential ..." yeah, right.
so that's why you're posting it to a worldwide mailing list,
yes?

let me give you some advice. that sig does *not* make you
seem careful and security-conscious; it makes you look like a
total doofus who's such a klutz, he can't be trusted to send
his email to the right place. not to mention someone who's
got a really inflated image of his own self-importance and
seems to think that his email going astray constitutes some
kind of national security emergency.

if you want to feel that important, save it for your personal
email, and keep it off massive mailing lists like this.
