I am attempted to set up the kppp dialer on Red Hat 6.1 (right out of the box) to dial a USR 56K modem on com 2. When the dialer attempts to dial ttyS1, the modem is reported busy, even though it is not. Similar results when querying the modem. How do I fix this? Thanks.
