Important point, here...since you've installed RedHat 7, you'll need
to hit CTRL-X at the RedHat screen...this will take you to the LILO
prompt, where you can do the following.

>At the LILO prompt, type:  linux S

>lilo.conf file and run lilo.  You can also change the default runlevel
>at the same time should you wish.

Another option, here, is to type "linux 3" at the LILO prompt...this
brings you into multiuser mode, but without X...you can log in as
root and do the same as above...

Either way, after you've made your changes to lilo.config, make sure
to run "lilo" so that your changes are accepted.

Then, reboot, and you should be fine.
