Gentlemen, rest your sphincters.

1. Red Hat is not Linux.  There will always be choices in the world of
open source operating systems.  

2. Giving the masses, who won't give a squirt about philosophy, a
higher-quality alternative to Redmond is not a bad thing.  Isn't that
what most of us would like to see?  Did you really think it would
happen without corporate self-interest?

3. The term "selling out" is insulting.  Red Hat helped put
high-quality open source on the radar screen for consumers, as well as
corporate America.  That's good for all of us.  They have every right
to make a killing on it and then move on to do other really cool
things.
