Gentlemen, rest your sphincters. 1. Red Hat is not Linux. There will always be choices in the world of open source operating systems. 2. Giving the masses, who won't give a squirt about philosophy, a higher-quality alternative to Redmond is not a bad thing. Isn't that what most of us would like to see? Did you really think it would happen without corporate self-interest? 3. The term "selling out" is insulting. Red Hat helped put high-quality open source on the radar screen for consumers, as well as corporate America. That's good for all of us. They have every right to make a killing on it and then move on to do other really cool things. - -d - -- David Talkington PGP key: http://www.prairienet.org/~dtalk/0xCA4C11AD.pgp - -- http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/pale_blue_dot.html -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.8 Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.75-6 iQA/AwUBPEnMir9BpdPKTBGtEQLEbACeOGZaXoC7b0G3rwyw+OcTDUA+xGEAoPmv fGyIbOzxiAIPlAyV5txZbhpP =OWS/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
