I don't want to be a spoilsport; but I think 'strace' will reveal the
relevant portions of the script as it gets executed - either as args
to a "write to pipe", "system" or "exec". Might be 10 minutes, not 5.

Depends on what you want to achieve, anyway. - No offense intended!
