I use KDE on a 300MHz PII w/MMX, 128MB RAM, and run RH 7.2. I find that KDE is faster and has a nicer interface then GNOME GENERALY, but I really like the ability to add keyboard shortcuts to programs on the fly (such as with GIMP). I also have GNOME installed (never use it, though). I find they tend to be equal in performance.
