So, Beckett throws an extra, say, 20-odd pitches, and he needs nearly two weeks off? He had an extra day of rest built in before his last scheduled start. If they wanted to move him back one more day to give poor wittle Joshie-woshie another day of rest -- seven days in all -- so he wouldn't get another owie, then fine. But two weeks? Unless there's evidence of the type of injury that gets players on the DL, that guy is just a dog.
