Let's be clear about the perception being supported by the golf story.

We all think that Beckett has become a lazy pitcher who doesn't give a
damn about pitching in Boston. I mean, who doesn't think that.

It is simply time for him to go.

In fact, it's time to start putting together a world-class pitching
staff because we ain't got one now.
