i got it, they must be very useful, but the problem is drilling the bottom
of your tank if it is all glass, right?
I think ill stick to my only power head.
By the way, my tank has only one 402 Hagen power head for water movement and
the return from sump with my lg 4mdqsc.
Im thinking on adding an 802 ph and direct the flow to the live rock, but
im afraid this would be too much for my fishes, and they become very tired
and stressed.
Is really another power head necessary?, is more movement always better?
The movement on my water is kindda circular if you know what i mean, because
the inflow is in the upper right side of my tank and the ph is on the left
glass in the middle, so it generates a cycle in the water mov, and by adding
the other ph in an opposite direction i would create a different flow inside
the tank to change a little that circular movement.
Is this a good idea or it sucks?
Thanks
Marco

closed loop is where there is an input and an output drilled into the tank
and a pump that is dedicated to that input and output. You plump the input
and output of the pump to the tank. That way, you have additional current in
the tank, it is very easy to hide, and if the power goes out, it will not
flood because the water pressure is equalized. I have a 1 inch bulkheads
drilled into the bottom of my tank and they are plumed with 1 inch pipe to a
mag 24 (which by the way is too much). It is on a random timer, and turns on
and off surging water into the tank. You cant even see them, because they
are on the bottom of the tank, and are easily concealed with LR.
