Yes, I've seen those demonstrations as well; seems like it was further back
than 96 though.  Of course, the negative sidelobes require limiting black
and white levels visible to applications which never seems to get any
traction with the rest of the system.

FSAA could take advantage of all of these ideas as well; perhaps we'll see 
some serious hardware move in this kind of direction, or at least provide 
some programmable filters.
