Hmmm... using that logic, you can have the most reliable repeater by not putting it on the air at all. That way, it will last forever. :-) (provided it's not using tubes)
Actually, I would tend to think that like us, periodic exercise isn't a bad thing for a repeater. It will help keep the caps trim and the transistors fit. Although I admittedly don't have any proof for that theory. Joe M.
