I normally don't make comment on things I see here but my experience ( as
this is Repeater Builder )
is that I cannot seem to keep the Silver Plated connectors tight in repeater
service. Not a good thing
for the height we normally try to put our antennas. Maybe this is only
something I have had problems
with and nobody else? When I use the silver plated conns. I have to return
to the tower about once a
month to tighten them to eliminate noise. Yes , I tighten them with
Channelocks - same result. I do
like the connectors for ease of installation but I do not use them for
repeater service anymore.

My experience with Superflex is that is doesn't quite fit perfectly into the
RG-59 adapter, but a 1/4" drill takes care of that! :)
I'm using several runs of that in my ham shack for "interconnections"...
Plus, I can pick up PL-259's all day long or about a buck a piece, whereas
Andrews wants about $15 for a connector to fit the Superflex.

Good wisdom Joe.
One of my favorite cables for interconnecting is 1/4" Superflex. If
using UHF connectors (not necessarily my favorite, but I use them and
rarely change them to N), it fits perfectly into the larger adapter
(for RG59). Solder the solid shield to the adapter, then solder
thtough the holes to the adapter. Use all silver plated pieces.
Makes a decent cable with low loss and low noise for duplex work.
