I have always insisted on Amphenol and had good success with them...but have wondered about Kings.... is it the opinion of this group, that Kings, are really good quality connectors as well.....?
There is a product called Stabilant 22....very expensive...that will do wonders on RF connectors. Only very small drop is required and they claim it will make the connection almost as good as a soldered connection. I recently had this stuff applied to the antenna connectors on my repeater, VE3WFM, IRLP node 2430 and all of the desense that I was experiencing went away !. I had also put it on the connectors in and out of the duplexer, a Sinclair F150-4E. It is available here in Canada from Electro-Sonic and was developed over 19 years ago in Richmond Hill Ont. by a company named D.W. Electrochemicals. It has a NATO approval number and is patented in Canada and the US. But you want to | make darn sure you do not have a chrome out side.
