I can call anyone in the USA and Canada with my Magic Jack. I am assuming it works the same way from Canada. Check out their web site to be sure. You must have a reliable high speed internet connection for it to work good. I have dumped my $51 a month landline and now use MJ as my home phone. I live on a mountain and our repeater is located here. For $1.66 a month for unlimited local and long distance it is hard to beat. Mick, KB4UPI
