thanks. i swear i did a search before i asked, but i don't remember what i
looked for and it came up empty.. *shakes head* holiday laziness i guess.

bestbuy is storefront w/ online presence, similar to frys, but not as
extensive.  I guess my point is that most retail shops rarely carry the
nicer business laptops on display.

The trick here is business grade and new. that run RHEL 5 64bit.

I've been playing with this hp still, and it hasn't repeated the issue w/
the wifi irq dropping, so *shrug* we might go with it.  RHEL5.3beta runs
fairly well on it compared to 5.2.
