No, IPV6 was disabled.
One thing we use here to make it quicker to 'escape' a down'ed nameserver is
to put this at the top of your /etc/resolv.conf:
--------------- CUT ---------------
options timeout:2 attempts:2

Yes, we know we can reduce the timeout, but we are more concerned about
the behavior as it is. Especially because, despite IPV6 being disabled
(and not loaded), libresolv/glibc will also perform AAAA lookups,
doubling timeout times :-(
Another workaround is to make sure DNS is always available. But it seems
so wrong if you have your nodes in a cluster in /etc/hosts anyway.
