Actually, now that the superb Custom Browse (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer) plug-in lets you browse by the (filtered) Genre and sub-genre, I've take to using a Genre of 'classical', then a sub genre of Era (i.e. Renaissance), instrument (i.e. Woodwind) or type (i.e. String Quartet) on my classic rips.
