Is anyone converting their Vinyl collection to digital for use with
slimserver etc?

I realise it's a big topic, but I'm interesting in seeing how others
approach this.

I've comverted about 30 albums over the last couple of years and found
it to be pretty time comsuming. I used to jus t use my PC soundcard,
but now I use my laptop with a Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 USB
soundcard. I get much better quality results.

To record and post-process the sound files, I use Diamond Cut Audio
software - an old version that someone gave me. That involves click
and surface noise reduction, and separating tracks into separate wav
files.

Until now I have been burning audio CDs, but now that I'm seriously
getting into networked music I need to convert them to FLAC or mp3, and
I guess I'll have to add the tags manually, or is there another way?

I'm reasonably happy with the results, but any tips/comments are
welcome :)
