But if you want really nice results (elimination of all audible pops/ticks/glitches, reduction of surface noise), then it takes a lot of effort. I happen to enjoy the process. But if your goal is just to get the music into digital format, then I'd say you should just buy the CD, except in the following circumstances: 1. Album not available on CD. 2.
