Hi all, I am new to this and have a squeezebox on order. Last night I set up EAC and I ripped 9 CD's in 4 hours. Sorry but I just can't deal with that. I did use burst mode under driver options and that was fast but seemed to bypass all the security so what's the point? In addition I am having to create folders etc. to store the flac files. Also my CD's are all in excellent shape.
Other than the fact that WMP is proprietary is there any other quality issues with using it. To me, it is fast, has super tagging, creates nice folders, etc. I just can't think of why not to use it BUT will I be suffering quality loss?? I have also heard the $28 db....something is a great alternative.
