I've hit exactly the same problem. I spent the last month ripping all my CDs to FLAC (previously I'd had them in MP3). Now when I'm tagging my files I find "holes in my collection". I realise this is to do with flac files mysteriously appearing in my recycle bin.
Some background: 1) I have Windows XP (no Windows hysterionics please as the missus demands it for her photos). 2) I have Panda Antivirus 2006 (possible candidate). 3) When I emptied my recycle bin I saw a folder had been created called RECYCELED in the same place where my music was... Some questions: 1) Is this what happens when a disc has bad sectors? 2) Why are *only* FLAC files affected - this is what I don't understand in regards to the hardware argument.
