As you write yourself accuraterip check is not always avaliable for all cd's. So when you get a match you are 100% sure that it is accurate. If you don't get a match it can still be a perfect rip, it just means that no one else had posted data about the same cd you are ripping. What I do in this case is to do a test rip again and make sure that the checksums matches so I am reasonably sure that nothing is wrong with the ripped tracks. If I don't get a match (very seldom and only on higly scratched CDs) then I listen to the track and see if there is any audible artifacts. If not I go on with my life :-) if yes I consider wheter buying a new CD. The problem with Ripstation Micro is that it will not tell you if anything went wrong, and you will find out only by listening to each and every song you ripped. Still it can be a good alternative if you are not interested in bit-perfection and have time to listen to all the tracks. As I wrote before it even generates different files if you rip the same track several times - so that's really the main reason why I can't trust it for ripping my cds. -- Aguida ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Aguida's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9285 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44534 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
