MusicBrainz will tag, and depending on how much you throw at it at once, it should be pretty good about clustering tracks into albums, and it isnt that hard to correct.
It can take a while to run since it is doing fingerprints on the music, and this can sometimes lead to miss-guessing (ie, something on a Greatest Hits album as well as the original, but it does get most of those). It shows tracks clustered into albums and the 'Your/Real' counts on tracks, so it is usually pretty obvious when things collide (ie, one album with 10/14 tracks, and another with 4/20 would imply 4 made it to a greatest hits and it guessed wrong). I would think as long as you keep the amount run through at a time reasonable (ie, just a handful of albums at once), it wouldn't be too hard to spot anything that is off. Doing a thousand albums at once would be difficult to see errors. And very boring. -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48890 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
