first, i use EAC to rip CDs.

second, winamp does do replaygain, meaning if u configure it, it will
both write rg tags, and use them in playback.  (it doesn't have to rip
the cd to do that)

third, winamp will do autotagging with existing files.  very easily.

fourth, winamp also will place album artwork in the folder, as a
separate process.

winamp is about nearly perfect as a pgm for music on a computer as
there is.  about the only thing i want from it that it doesn't have is
support for compilation tags, but i bet eventually it'll do that too.
