I have had a look through the forums (or is that fora?) for the answer to this, couldn't find it, so I shall entrust my problem to my more learned colleagues on this forum.
I have recently got some box sets of music (Dvorak, Beethovem, JS Bach and Mozart) a total 405 CDs. The issue is this. Let's start with Dvorak as this is the easiest at only 40 CDs. All nicely ripped to FLAC, tags have been checked and are correct. Have set Album Artist as Antonin Dvorak. and Album as Dvorak - The Masterworks. Each track has a discnumber equating to the discnumber in the box, this also allows album art per disc to be correct. Now the problem. Ideally I would like this to be seen as 1 album, however SC treats it as 40 albums (Dvorak - The Masterworks (Disc 1) etc) which makes scrolling through the list on teh controller a PITA. (and adding 170 CDs of Mozart even harder) I am happy to use Erland's plugin when I want to listen to these sets, but don't want the controller menus cluttered up with 405 extra albums when there are only 4. So how to resolve this? I have set:- Compilation = 1 and ended up with 40 Various Artists albums. Compilation = 0 and end up with Dvorak - The Masterworks (Disc 1) through 40 again 40 albums Any suggestions as to the way forward, I don't mind playing around with the Dvorak set but want to get it right before loading the Mozart set of 170 CDs TIA -- MuckleEck Alasdair SB3 -> Linn Majik - Acoustic Energy Extreme 5 (garden) | SB3 -> Cambridge Audio 640R - Morduant Short (TV room) | SB3 -> AudioEngine 2 (bedroom) | SB3 -> AudioEngine 2 (kitchen) | SBR -> Music Fidelity X-A1 - Mission 701 (office)| Chumby (bedroom) Last Fm http://www.last.fm/user/MuckleEck/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MuckleEck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11301 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49088 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
