OK...a solution (sort of has been found) 1. Artist = Dvorak for all tracks 2. Performer tag has been set with the actual performers/soloists etc 3. Ensemble = Orchestra 4. Conductor = Conductor 5. Discnumber = Blank 6. Genre = Genre (sometimes multiple) 7. Album = Dvorak - The Masterworks - %Primary Genre% 8. Compilation = Blank 0r 0
I now have 8 Dvorak albums. Easy to understand and quick to search. Did need to reorganise the file structure but that was easy enough. I have setup some additional tags like %Actual CD No% which refers me back to the D. I have embedded the actual CD cover for each CD into the relevant track, this means that some CDs are split across multiple albums but as they are split by genre makes sense to me. Scanning through the albums on the SBC is OK now... I know it is not perfect and for the esoteric not ideal but all the info is there and using custom browse I can access the music perfectly -- MuckleEck Alasdair SB3 -> Linn Majik - Acoustic Energy Extreme 5 (garden) | SB3 -> Cambridge Audio 640R - Morduant Short (TV room) | SB3 -> AudioEngine 2 (bedroom) | SB3 -> AudioEngine 2 (kitchen) | SBR -> Music Fidelity X-A1 - Mission 701 (office)| Chumby (bedroom) Last Fm http://www.last.fm/user/MuckleEck/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MuckleEck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11301 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49088 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
