Hello there, There's a ton of discussion about the correct treatment of compilation albums, and many have posted solutions that involve adding a COMPILATION=1 tag to the files.
All my music files are FLAC. I too am having trouble in 7.0 and 7.1 getting tracks on compilations to playback in the correct order. So I tried adding COMPILATION=1 but it didn't change anything. Puzzled, I looked in the source (.../Slim/Formats/FLAC.pm) and I noticed that there is no tag named COMPILATION or anything similar that is read from within FLAC files. Also, the Vorbis tag reference fails to mention the existence of any COMPILATION tag. Did I miss something? It seems to me COMPILATION tags are not supported in flac files... it would be great if someone could confirm or deny this. If it's the case, if anyone has any ideas or solutions about how to tell SC about compilations in FLAC collections, I'd love to hear about it.
