All lossless is exactly the same sound-quality wise, which is why it's called lossless. However, WAV has some disadvantages compared to other lossless formats such as FLAC: lack of (supported) tagging means you're limited to filename scanning, lack of an internal checksum means potentially audible data errors would not be discovered, and larger file sizes mean that you're more likely to run into bandwidth problems on a wireless network.
WAV has no advantages over other lossless formats whatsoever. Anything else would be better. -- CatBus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CatBus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7461 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57706 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
