I am new to SC and ripping. I have just started using RIPNAS Essentials,
and find it easy to use to create FLAC files for my SB3, on my Windows
Home Server. The issue is that while tags are created, they are not
correct, especially since 95% of my CD's are classical! I have read
extensively on several forums about tagging classical music, and I do
not yet know how to edit, and what tags I want to use. One reason I am
not sure how to proceed is because I have not yet figured out how
Squeezecenter searches, and even where the tags created by RipNas are
located. Are they in a file header in each file- like metadata in my
photo RAW files? Can I split 2 symphonies from 1 CD into 2 folders,
etc. Which tag editor should I consider- I will not use a portable
player, so FLAC alone is fine. I would love to be able to discuss my
questions with anyone who does not mind a phone call, anywhere in the
USA, as I have a flat rate phone service for all the USA. I even have
skype for calling worldwide. Is there a group in the Boston area that
meets regularly on these subjects? I know just enough to be thoroughly
confused? Any help would be appreciated. I participate in a number of
forums, and I find very little put downs in these forums- how
refreshing!
