The times that you would want album gain is when you listen to multiple albums in a row and don't want to have to adjust the volume when albums change. The other reason is so that it doens't use track gain which will make all the songs in an album at about the same volume. This is fine for playlists but a lot of songs on albums are supposed to be quieter or louder than the other songs. This keeps the original volume levels correct to each other on the album instead of making them all the same level. This is one of he main reasons I make sure my albums have both gains in the tags. It's just my reasoning and everyone has different opinions on replay gain. I really like it and never seem to have any problems with it. -- Nonreality -IF THE RULE YOU FOLLOWED BROUGHT YOU TO THIS, OF WHAT USE IS THE RULE.- HTTP://www.last.fm/user/nonreality ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nonreality's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60502
