moonbase has a specific way of keeping his collection that somehow is tied to a radio station issue i believe... something i can identify with.
whats amazing to me is his coding skills were advanced enough that he has been able to solve his browsing issues using metadata alone... ie. he does not need to rely on folder location, (which revolves around the "greatest hits" issue). he can do this using comp tags and disc number tags in combination. its very impressive. i'm sure he could tell you more about it. having said all that, i like to keep two piece of artwork per folder, per album. one is named " Folder.jpg " and the other is a copy of it with a random name. this way, if WMP or a virus or whatever screws with my art, i have a backup in the folder, and i can also easily see and manipulate artwork files in a simple windows explorer window. also, i don't like having the same graphic repeated (and stored) 25 times when i really only need it once. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 (my home) / sbr (parent's home) / sbc (my home) - w/sc 7.3.3b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb raid - d-link dir-655 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61820 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
