I also use a source-level so I can seperate CD, downloads, borrowed,
vinyl like this:

Music\source\artist|Various artist\album\track# - song

The advantage being it's easy to do bulk handling of similar music
files. For instance I regularly create MP3 copies of all my Lossless CD
rips, thats easy to do as they are all in the same source-folder.

The disadvantage being you can't get a complete overview of
artist\albums in the explorer, but I rarely have that need.
