Greetings Community, Having seen quite a few posts on how to rip surround sound ( either Dolby or DTS ) into FLAC, I decided to give it a try but had to give up after numerous efforts. Either SB3 ( classic ) or Duet fail with the "Out of decoder data memory " error and require a full reset in order to behave normally again. Using DVD Decrypter, Smart Ripper or DVD Shrink 3.2 all result in well formed FLAC output files as verified with Foobar2000 or Mediamonkey players. The SPDIFF Python utility never worked for me - the output is just white noise. The basic question remains now : is SC able to stream multichannel FLAC on a digital output of the SB3 or Duet ? ( I only tested optical, not coax ) I remember having seen a comment form a senior member somewhere that SC/SB is not supporting multichannel output, which makes me wonder what the digital output really is for and how so many people did succeed in doing this. Any help or clarification is greatly appreciated. Anyway even if only for stereo streaming I remain a fan of all SC/SB products - keep up the good work.
