I'm with Eric; the answer is definitely YES for the SB3 and I presume it is for the duet, on both optical and coax. Your post title mentions 'Multi-Channel FLAC'. If you mean 6 channels separately encoded into a FLAC file, these don't work. I tried it with (I think it was) DVD Decrypter and they won't play. Sorry I can't be more specific at the moment with -how- to do it but my machine with DVD Decrypter on has died :-(.
