I've played a little with foobar2000. It indeed seems to do a pretty good job of scanning all file types and putting in replaygain tags. However for mp3s it saves all the tags as id3v2.4 which amp has trouble reading and it updates all the dates modified to the current.
Is there any way of saving idv2.3 tags in foobar and keeping the modification date unchanged. Then it seems like mp3tag could do the job of converting the tags to iTunes soundcheck format.
