I'll double check the artists and the tag types when I get some time tonight. I have around 9000 tracks about 8000 are FLAC the majority ripped with Soundjuicer on linux, the rest mp3. The vast majority of the tagging has been done with Foobar and MP3tag. (Some things seem to be easier in Foobar and some things such as cover art seem to be easier in Mp3tag)
