You might find it useful to remove ID3v1 tags, so that you only have ID3v2.3 (or even better, change the options to save ID3v2.4). I can't remember what each SBS release does now, but at some point the scanner would read a combination of both tags. i.e. read id3v1 and then overwrite some tags with id3v2 tags. This is confusing, as Mp3Tag only reads the highest version. i.e. "ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3)" means there are two tag sets in the file, and Mp3Tag read ID3v2.3 tags. Another way to analyse your problem within SBS, is to navigate into song information, and then into More Info > View Tags >.
