Ok. The 20-bit wavs I have do seem to conform to one "standard" I've been referring to, and they do play in one editor.
There does seem to be a bit of a discrepancy though, because my DVDA 20/48 wavs were (presumably - TBC) ripped with the same tool that ripped my DVDA 24/96 wavs and which are fine with both WMP and sox.
